(W MINUTES <br />Citizen Planning Committee for the Whilamut Natural Area of Alton Baker Park <br />Atrium Building, Saul Room <br />99 West 10` Street, Eugene, Oregon <br />January 12, 2012 <br />6: 00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Steve Cooper, Chair, Theresa Brand, Mary Morrison, David Sonnichsen, Sharon <br />Klein, Vicky Mello, Elliot McIntire, William Hughes, Charlotte Behm, John <br />Andriola, Charlene Larison, Kate Ferschweiler, members; Greg Hyde, Willamalane <br />Park and Recreation District; Philip Richardson, City of Eugene, Parks and Open <br />Space; Erin Lamb, Nearby Nature; guests <br />ABSENT: Jeff Ard, Charlene Larison, Patricia Moore <br />VISITING: Gene Holloter, Katie Blair, City of Eugene, Parks and Open Space Volunteer <br />Coordinator, Joannie Armstead <br />Mr. Cooper called the meeting of the Citizen Planning Committee (CPC) for the Whilamut <br />Natural Area (WNA) of Alton Baker Park to order. <br />A <br />1. Review and Adjust Agenda <br />Mr. Cooper added a presentation from Erin Lamb, Nearby Nature, between agenda items 4 and 5. <br />Katie Blair, with a presentation on tree planting, was also added to the agenda. <br />2. Introductions <br />Those present introduced themselves. <br />Ms. Blair said there would be a tree - planting project in the Whilamut Natural Area of Alton <br />Baker Park, east of the dog park, on January 28, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The City <br />of Eugene would supply tools, gloves and snacks. There would be another planting of 120 trees <br />on January 16, 2012 in the Cuthbert area from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. <br />3. Public Comment <br />There was no public comment. <br />4.
