INTRODUCTIONS
Those present introduced themselves.
III. PUBLIC COMMENT
Gene Holloter apologized for missing the memorial for Wayne Hill. He expressed his respect for Mr.
Hill.
Mr. Holloter noted that the Walnut Street entrance in Springfield to the Whilamut Natural Area had a
bollard missing so motorized traffic could enter. He noted that he had also seen vandalism in the area.
He stressed the importance of keeping motorized traffic out of the park. He suggested that the new chair
of the committee contact Willamalane maintenance staff to see about having a new bollard installed.
Ms. Blick suggested that the committee draft a letter to the Superintendent expressing concern over the
missing bollard.
Ms. Blick, seconded by Mr. Rivernider, moved that a letter be written to the
Superintendent of Willamalane expressing a desire to see the missing bollard replaced
and locked immediately. The motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Love offered a friendly amendment that was accepted to note that the Whilamut Natural Area Citizen
Planning Committee had voted unanimously on the request.
Ms. Jones volunteered to draft the letter.
