Mr. Sonnichsen indicated that there was nothing further to report.
8. Old Business
Mr. Sonnichsen indicated he would email the CPC regarding the issue with the Oregon Department of
Transportation (ODOT).
Ms. Blick commented that the CPC needed a timekeeper to watch the agenda. She pointed out that the
CPC had a lot of discussion regarding dogs off leash that happened at every meeting, but it rarely reached
the point in its agenda for new business with time enough to adequately address it. She said the CPC
needed to review its bylaws. She suggested the formation of a subcommittee to do so.
Mr. Bonnett moved to form a subcommittee for the purpose of reviewing the bylaws. Mr.
Sonnichsen provided the second. The motion passed unanimously.
9. New Business
a. Stewardship of Parkland Leased by EVBMX
This item was deferred due to lack of time.
b. Environmental Effects of Plastic BB Projectiles
Ms. Behm stated that people were using toy guns in the park that shot little green plastic projectiles. She
expressed concern regarding the harm this activity could cause wildlife. She stressed that this was against
the rules of the City and of the park.
10. Set Next Meeting Date
The CPC established October 19, 2006, 6 p.m., as its next meeting date. Mr. Sonnichsen noted it would
be held in Springfield.
11. Adjourn
Mr. McIntire, seconded by Mr. Fredette, moved to adjourn the meeting and the meeting was
adjourned at 8:03 p.m. by unanimous consent.
(Recorded by Ruth Atcherson)
MINUTES— Citizen Planning Committee of the July 26, 2006 Page 7
Whilamut Natural Area
