MINUTES <br />Citizen Planning Committee for the Whilamut Natural Area <br />Bascom - Tykeson Room <br />Eugene Public Library <br />July 26, 2006 <br />5:30 p.m. <br />PRESENT: David Sonnichsen, Chair; Jeff Ard, Charlotte Behm, Charles Biggs, Sharon Blick, Howard <br />Bonnett, Dennis Ernst, Ed Fredette, Andy Peara, Matthew Svoboda, Elliot McIntire, mem- <br />bers; Trevor Taylor, City of Eugene; Pat French, Willamalane Parks and Recreation Dis- <br />trict; Lorna Baldwin, City of Eugene Stream Team; Sally Nunn, MRGSC and Oregon <br />League of Conservation Voters; Gene Holloter, guests. <br />ABSENT: Don Anderson, Steve Cooper, Cora Jones, members. <br />1. Review and Adjust Agenda <br />Mr. Sonnichsen called the meeting of the Citizen Planning Committee (CPC) to order and reviewed the <br />agenda. <br />2. Introductions <br />Those present introduced themselves. Mr. Sonnichsen noted that Mr. Anderson, Mr. Cooper, and Ms. <br />Jones' absences were excused. He stated that Mr. Ringer had resigned and that Mr. Fredette had given <br />notice of his resignation as well. <br />Mr. Fredette tendered his resignation. He explained that he had accepted a position with the City of <br />Eugene Planning and Development Department and would be prohibited from serving on an advisory <br />committee as part of his terms of employment. He still intended to contribute but not as a member. <br />Mr. Sonnichsen thanked him for his service. <br />3. Public Comment <br />Gene Holloter indicated that he agreed that the BMX track had "gotten out of hand." He was interested <br />in how the group could approach this. <br />Mr. Sonnichsen indicated this would be taken up later in the meeting. <br />4.
