9. New Business <br />Recommendations to ODOT Charlotte reported briefly that ODOT had <br />received many, many recommendations that the I -5 bridge name /design <br />honor the Kalapuyas. She stated that, as a result, ODOT sent a letter (which <br />mentioned the WNA) to Springfield and Eugene City Councils, Lane <br />County Commissioners, Metropolitan Planning Organization to seek their <br />opinions. The CPC Outreach Subcommittee has voted to get involved in this <br />effort; they support the idea and think it would be an effective way to let <br />more people know about the Whilamut Natural Area. There were no <br />objections stated. <br />Recommendations to Signage Subcommittee. Howie asked the signage <br />subcommittee to look into further signage on the Eastgate Riverside Trail, <br />such as "Walk Bikes." <br />10. Set Next Meeting Date. October 11, in Springfield. David asked Pat to <br />try to reserve space in the Willamalane Adult Activity Center because it is <br />more centrally located and accessible by bus and bike. Pat replied that the <br />Adult Activity Center programming gets first preference for the rooms in <br />their building. A room will be reserved there for the CPC if rooms are <br />available. <br />11. Adjournment. <br />
