STEPS TO BE TAKEN <br />U0, in collaboration /approval of the CPC, designs a system that keeps people off <br />sensitive areas, such as the canoe canal berm, any places with vegetation <br />Computer modeling of traffic flow including bikes and pedestrians <br />Establish monitoring system of the park, pre -and post game. <br />Components: <br />One person delegated by CPC joins one person from the UO and walk through <br />the park, noting the condition of all aspects <br />UO agrees to pay for any damage or changes noted <br />A process is set up to settle disputes within one week. <br />UO pays for the restoration within two weeks. <br />UO pays $20 /hour for any person who is involved in the restoration and <br />monitoring. The exception is the situation in which technical expertise <br />is required (native plant identification, etc.), and the rate will be <br />higher, as negotiated. <br />The bus staging area stays on the north side of the stadium, at Centennial Blvd. <br />Bringing buses onto Leo Harris Pky will produce a logjam. <br />Trash containers are paced at strategic points ON PAVEMENT before each game. <br />Containers are removed shortly after each game. Any trash picked up in other <br />areas must be done in environmentally sensitive manner. UO pays for damage, <br />as specified by the monitor(s) in the timeline described above. <br />SUGGESTIONS FOR WEST ALTON BAKER PARK <br />The proposed footbridge near WISTEC should not be used as a passageway for a <br />motorized shuttle. There is a heron rookery nearby. <br />West Alton Baker Park - the plan to put in grasscrete to expand the parking lot <br />south only adds 100 parking spaces - it's not worth losing the important <br />functions that are served now (education, school children, citizenry). <br />3 <br />
