Draft Autzen Code Amendments 4/20/00 <br />9.585 General Bicycle Parking Requirements Bicycle parking requirements shall apply to <br />new development, changes of use, and building expansions except as provided in 9.585 <br />(i) below Bicycle parking shall be provided in conjunction with all multiple dwelling <br />units (3 or more units); all uses in commercial and industrial zoning districts, except as <br />provided in section 9.585(1); at churches; in all new automobile parking structures; in <br />any zone in conjunction with institutional uses; and at planned park and ride lots and <br />major transit stops; in the following manner: <br />(i) Bicycle parking requirements for Autzen stadium are specified below: <br />(1) Long -term bicycle parking spaces are intended to accommodate <br />employees of the Autzen Stadium complex, athletes using the <br />complex, and visitors to the complex. A minimum of 300 long- <br />term bicycle parking spaces are required to be provided on site. <br />Long -term bicycle parking facilities are to be distributed between <br />Autzen Stadium, the Casanova Center, and the Moshofsky <br />Center. Long -term bicycle parking shall be provided in <br />accordance with standards outlined in section 9.585(c). <br />(2) Short -term bicycle parking spaces are intended to accommodate <br />major stadium event patrons. Short term bicycle parking shall be <br />provided in temporary, secured, and attended shelters that shall <br />be erected before the major event and dismantled after the major <br />event. <br />(3) Bicycle parking shelters that will accommodate a minimum of <br />800 short term bicycle parking spaces are required for each <br />major event occurring within Autzen Stadium. <br />9.586 Parking Spaces Required Except as provided in 9.586(1), and 14unless specifically <br />prescribed otherwise elsewhere in this code, the number of off - street parking spaces <br />required shall be no less than as set forth in the following: <br />(i) Automobile parking space requirements for the Autzen Stadium <br />complex are specified below: <br />(1) A minimum of 4.749 vehicle parking spaces shall be provided on- <br />site or within 1000' of the development site that the property is required <br />to serve. All required parking shall be under the same ownership as the <br />development site served, except through a city approved agreement that <br />binds the parking area to the development site. <br />(2) RELIEVE AUTO PARKING IN EXCHANGE FOR <br />ADDITIONAL SHORT TERM BIKE PARKING AT RATE OF 1 <br />AUTO SPACE PER 10 ADDITIONAL BIKE PARKING <br />SPACES. <br />Add a definition to the code for "major stadium event" as follows: <br />
