membership consists of roughly 4,000 individuals. In addition, the Science <br />Factory is a magnet both locally and regionally for school and group field <br />trip visits, tourist visits and special event visitors. In addition, a scholarship <br />program supported by local private donors and sponsors allows the <br />organization to serve children of needy families who otherwise could not <br />afford programs, such as summer science camp and afterschool science <br />classes.
