EUGENE j Public Works <br /> Maintenance <br /> City of Eugene <br /> 1820 Roosevelt Boulevard <br /> Eugene, Oregon 97402 <br /> (541) 687 -5220 <br /> August 28, 1996 <br /> ADDENDUM NO. 1 <br /> FRIENDLY PARK ALLEY STORM SEWER <br /> Questions on this job from a prospective contractors lead to the following clarifications: <br /> 1. No rim elevations for manholes or area drain have been specified. The manhole rim in the <br /> street is to match paved grade. The area drain is to be placed at an elevation that is 6 inches <br /> below the existing grade in order to create positive drainage in the immediate area to the drain. <br /> The manhole adjacent to that drain is within the dished area around the drain and should be set <br /> about 3 - 4 inches above the area drain rim. <br /> 2. The rock around the perforated pipe may shall be either 3/4" open graded crushed rock or <br /> 1 -1/2" round rock. In lieu of 5/8" holes specified, holes shall be either 1/2" or a slot created by a <br /> saw that creates a slot 3/32" wide by 2" long. <br /> 3. The filter fabric shall be either a woven or non -woven geotextile, specified by the <br /> manufacturer to be suitable in drainage applications. The fabric shall be placed in the trench <br /> prior to gravel placement, with edges brought together following pipe and gravel placement to <br /> create a minimum of 6" fabric overlap. <br /> 4. If a City inspector requires additional concrete sidewalk outside the area of proposed work to <br /> be repaired, the price paid will be $4.00 per sq. ft., which includes removal, base rock, new <br /> concrete to match sidewalk, contractor overhead and any other incidental costs. <br />
