From <br /> what we can determine, the only people to receive this Letter were those people <br /> whose property is adjacent to the field. We think that everyone in our <br /> neighborhood should be aware of what the city is doing WITHOUT input from the <br /> citizens. <br /> There has been NO communication with the Harlow Neighbors. There has been <br /> NO public hearing. There has been NO forum for public comment or input. There <br /> was probably no environmental impact study completed. Some bureaucrat has <br /> decided that Ascot Park would be a nice place to have night sports. No one has <br /> thought about all the participants that want to park their cars on Ascot or Firwood <br /> because it is a shorter distance to walk. <br /> John Byrne (485 -1753) has spent several hours on the phone on Monday and <br /> could find NO ONE who would take responsibility for this expenditure of your tax <br /> dollars. If you think that this is both a misappropriation of funds and do not want <br /> our neighborhood turned into a night time parking lot start making some phone <br /> calls immediately. We are considering legal action. <br /> The work has already started and some holes were dug today 9- 28 -93. I am not <br /> sure whether we can stop the construction or not.
