PAST USE OF KINCAID PARK (WITH LIGHTS) <br /> KIDSPORTS <br /> Kidsports has used Kincaid Park for both league games as well as practices <br /> for teams in the South Eugene Area. Their use has been as follows: <br /> Spring, March - April, used mostly for soccer practices, 5 -8 pm <br /> Summer, April - July, softball/baseball practices and games, Tuesdays, <br /> Wednesdays, Thursdays 5:30 - 9:00 pm, Saturdays 9 - 5 pm. <br /> Fall, September - November, Monday - Friday 5 - 8 pm. Saturdays 9 - 5pm. <br /> CITY OF EUGENE ATHLETIC PROGRAM <br /> Summer, May - August, Softball league games, Sunday, Monday, Friday, 6 - <br /> 10:30 pm. <br /> Fall (1992), September - October, Ultimate (frisbee) league games, <br /> Sundays 3 - 9pm. <br /> OUTSIDE USER GROUPS <br /> Eugene Rugby Club - Evening practices when facility is available <br /> "Housewives" Rugby Club (women's rugby group) - Use of the field for <br /> games and practices when facility is available. <br /> Ultimate (Frisbee) - Evening practices when field is available. <br /> Various "elite" soccer teams request practice times for their teams and have <br /> been turned away due to lack of field space. <br /> 2. IMPACT OF HAVING LESS LIGHTED PLAYING FIELDS <br /> KIDSPORTS <br /> Kidsports has been the primary user group of Kincaid Park and used the <br /> lights extensively. Without lights at Kincaid, Kidsports staff has been <br /> forced to build and maintain more fields to accommodate the same number <br /> of teams. This will become more difficult over time since Kidsports partici- <br /> pation has been growing at a rapid pace. <br /> CITY OF EUGENE ATHLETIC PROGRAM <br /> Without lights at Kincaid, our summer softball program will be able to <br /> accommodate six (6) less Coed recreational level teams at Kincaid park. <br /> We do have alternate sites to accommodate these teams. Alternative sites <br /> will not be cost effective for the following reasons: The Athletic program <br />
