We the undersigned strongly object to the addition of a new basketball court in Acorn Park. <br /> As neighbors of the park, we believe a basketball court will become a greater magnet for <br /> nighttime criminal activity. EPD's response to reports of illegal nighttime activity in the park <br /> is, at best, inconsistent. This will negatively effect our health, safety and overall quality of life. <br /> In addition, we are asking for you to add a hot charcoal briquet container and permanent <br /> garbage container to the park facilities. This past summer hot coals have been dumped in <br /> the play areas, at the base of oak trees and at the base of a neighbor's cedar fence.
