To my knowledge Bones Construction, has virtually no experience in the artificial
turf industry. It has merely been the excavator and base constructor on several
turf projects. It has no ability to service or repair the artificial turf portion of the
contract. We sincerely question if they could carry out any warranty work as
provided in the contract_
2. To my knowledge the good people at Eugene Sand and Gravel have requested
to view a copy of a bonded warranty from either Bones or Mery Sportsturf to the
qty, given the fads contained in this memo, isn't that a necessity?
3. Our research of public records Avery Sportsturf was incorporated in 1997. How
then can it lay claim to manufacturing the playing fields in the proposal to the city,
when 99% of these installations were completed prior to 1997. Of the fields
mentioned in the company profile, George Avery may have merely played a role
in the manufacturing component of these carpets.
4. Although George Avery has worked in carpet plants all his adult life, to our
knowledge he has never installed, sold, warranted the products described in the
company profile. He may have worked in or operated a carpet plant that made
some of these fields.
5, Our research indicates that Avery Sportsturf; has warranted only 2 projects since
its incorporation. Both of these projects were acquired under somewhat dubious
circumstances. In both the case of Tigard High School and McChord Air Force
base, the product was presented as, sold as something called Sprinturf. A
change order was then issued to Avery Turf. Avery Sportsturf did not even exist 1
year ago! As a matter of fad, the proposal you are looking at this moment from
Bones / Avery was originally presented to the City of Eugene as a Sprinturf
product by Pacific Sportsurfaces.
•
5050, Pore St., Suite 280, Montreal.
