City of Eugene /4J Youth Sports Parks and Athletic Fields — Meeting Agenda
September 16, 1999
Page 2
3. Meeting Agenda
3.1. Introduction (10 -15 minutes) Brian McCarthy, Landscape Arch (CMG)
3.1.1. Brief summary of project to date, past work, and design process.
3.1.2. Summary of meeting goals (review design status and hear comments)
3.1.3. Next meeting (see above)
3.2. Design Presentation(15 -30 minutes) Brian McCarthy
3.2.1. Overview of site design with discussion of design solutions developed from
previous public meetings where appropriate. See end of this document for
summary of the design solutions. Brian's discussion will be limited to the
design elements funded in this project. Policy issues and masterplanning will
not be presented, but it is our expectation that City staff will be available to
field questions during the meeting.
3.3. Questions and Comments (30-45 minutes) Brian, 4J rep, and City rep
3.3.1. It is my expectations that the majority of questions and comments will be
regarding policy matters, and I feel that 4J and /or the City should respond. A
designated spokesperson for each group should stand at the front of the room
with Brian. Bill Hirsh indicated that he would represent 4J. Jeff Langston will
represent the City for the Sheldon meeting, Robin Hostick will represent the
City for the South Eugene, Churchill, and Cal Young meetings, and Andrea
Riner will represent the City for the North Eugene meeting.
3.4. Wrap Up (1 minute) Brian
3.4.1. "We will take your comments unders advisement, develop the schemes, and
present at the next public meeting in late October."
3.5. Design Solution Identified from Previous Public Meetings
The following list was developed by the City of Eugene Parks staff and they have
requested that Brian McCarthy discuss in this presentation of the schematic design.
It is my intention that Brian "pepper" these items into his presentation as he walks
through the site as opposed to simply reading them off this list. I have deleted the
"Policy Solution" items because the design team will focus on design issues.
Italicized items have been modified by WBGS.
Filename: PUBMTGAG.DOC
