The first round of meetings will focus on broad design <br /> concepts for a north Eugene sports park at Sheldon High School and Cal Young Middle School <br /> and a southwest Eugene sports park at Churchill High School /Kennedy Middle School. Ideas <br /> also will be gathered for synthetic turf athletic fields at North and South Eugene high schools <br /> although youth sports parks are not envisioned for either of those sites. A second round of <br /> meetings in October will go into greater detail on specific design options for each location. <br /> Sports park neighbors, park users, and other interested residents are invited to join staff <br /> from the City and School District 4J and share ideas about opportunities and options for <br /> improvements funded by the Parks and Open Space bond measure and funds from District 4J's <br /> bond measure.
