• <br /> Discussion Draft for Joint Development and Use of <br /> 4J /City of Eugene Youth Sports /Athletic Fields <br /> Draft 5/28/99 <br /> The City of Eugene and 4J agree to enter into a long term (30+ year) agreement for the <br /> development and joint use of multi -sports fields /youth sports complexes on three 4J campuses as <br /> well as multi -sports fields on two additional 4J campuses. The field would initially be constructed <br /> with artificial surface and would have sufficient dimensions to support the playing of high school <br /> football and soccer. For the fields, there would (initially) be aluminum seating for 1,000, night- <br /> use low -glare lighting, low volume sound system, score boards, goal posts, fencing, ticket booth, <br /> and handicap seating and access. The youth sports complex components would include: <br /> It is proposed that development and operation of the field be governed by a User Committee. The <br /> Committee would be guided by the terms of this agreement. Membership on the Committee <br /> would consist of an equal number of 4J and City representatives to be selected by each <br /> organization, as well as a representative from Kidsports and . Potentially the <br /> Committee could consist of members. Decisions of the Committee would require agreement <br /> by at least <br /> An athletic field will be constructed within the tracks at NEHS and CHS. An athletic field will be <br /> constructed just to the north and west of the community center at SHS (or ?) and just to the <br /> north of the track at SEHS. The youth sports complex components will be constructed on the <br /> CHS/Kennedy MS campus, at the north end of the Cal Young MS campus and possibly on the <br /> SHS campus.
