There is a Goal 5 Riparian and Upland Wildlife Habitat Site overlay on the property surrounding us to preserve significant
habitat that falls under the Land Conservation & Development Commission. The heron and pileated woodpeckers are here
because of the many dead fir trees.
I'm not sure where they formally stand now but the Fairmount and Laurel Hill Neighbors have opposed changing the
character or opening the neighborhood to additional or through traffic and bicycles in the past. We like the beauty and
quietness; so much of the value of the wooded property is the character of the narrow and winding streets. It also protects
the many animals that are here and their habitat.
We do appreciate you taking the time to talk to us when you were here and we really liked your crew. We lived here before it
was in the Urban Growth Boundary and hope the City will reconsider the work area so it's less destructive and not redundant.
The neighbors would be very happy if you could help with the 30 Avenue Trailhead problem by working there before it
opens to the neighborhood again.
Respectfully,
, 7 .414 ...___ .
enc: Wallace Ruff letter
Fairmount & Laurel Hill Neighborhood Association announcement
Notice of Intent - Spring Connector Multi -Use Path
cc: Philip Richardson
Johnny Medlin
Sheltie Robertson
