• To 'sarahkbascom@yahoo.com'; Teresa Bishow; 'Rebecca Duffy'; 'John Jacobsen'; 'Maeve and
Dick'; 'Dave Predeek'; 'Margaret Robertson'; 'dave@lcmba.org'; 'David Roth'; ROTH David F
Subject: Eastern Ridgeline Extension Master Plan review
Hello again Community Task Team members!
I know at least a few of you at least have been waiting for this. Attached you'll find the
draft plan and map for review.
Please review both documents, and provide comments, edits, and suggestions by next Wednesday,
June 23rd It's not a lengthy plan, so review shouldn't be too onerous. For the Word doc, you
can use Track Changes and send the file back to me or just send me a bulleted list of
comments. For the map itself either use comments in Adobe Acrobat or a bulleted list, but
please be as specific as you can. If you need either document in a different format, please
let me know.
Also, I'm not sending out the appendices to everyone because it's just too much material, but
if you are interested in seeing any of them just send me an email.
The main change you'll notice is how we decided to map habitat mgmt areas. In order to more
closely align with the habitat assessment, we felt it was better to indicate all the habitat
areas that are considered regional priorities. As you'll see, it does overlap significantly
with the future disc golf locations. The plan addresses this by requiring further
environmental analysis, and specific siting and design of the course to minimize impacts.
When the time comes for development, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a significant
amount of on -site analysis and adjustment of the boundaries indicated on the map.
Finally, for now, we're sticking with the Eastern Ridgeline Extension name, but hopefully
down the line we'll find something a bit more evocative.
Let me know if you have any questions!
- Philip
Philip Richardson
Landscape Architect
Eugene Parks & Open Space Division
1820 Roosevelt Blvd
Eugene, OR 97402 -4159
541.682.4906 office
541.682.4882 fax
www.eugene- or.gov /parks
Find us on
<http: // wd =ty:.facaook.r_ot°/pages/ Eugene -OR/ City -of- Eugene -rz:: Ls -Orcn- Space_
Division /131406079790 ?ref =mf>
Messages to and from this email address may be available to the public under Oregon Public
Records law.
4
