II. Requirements and Selection <br /> A. Requirements <br /> 1. Bids shall comply with the 'Standard Contract Provisions' of the City of Eugene, a copy of <br /> which is attached as Exhibit A. <br /> 2. Each bid must contain a statement as to whether the bidder is a resident Oregon bidder as <br /> defined in ORS 279.029. In submitting a bid, bidders are assuring that they will comply with <br /> all applicable laws in carrying out the contract. <br /> 3. Successful bidder shall be responsible for the removal of any hazardous materials that may be <br /> in the structure such as asbestos or lead paint. Contractor or subcontractor used must be <br /> licensed for asbestos abatement according to the procedures established by the Environmental <br /> Quality Commission. <br /> 4. Bidder must demonstrate the agency or individual currently has the financial ability to relocate <br /> the structure. <br /> 5. Successful bidder agrees to have the site clean of any debris associated with the removal of <br /> the structure, including structure foundations, by the agreed removal completion date. <br /> 6. Successful bidder shall obtain any required permits for relocation of structure and any building <br /> modifications. <br /> 7. Successful bidder will become the owner of the structure upon signing agreement and will <br /> assume all responsibility for security and safety of the structure until moved from City land. <br /> 8. Comprehensive General Liability. Bidder shall maintain a broad form comprehensive general <br /> liability insurance policy with coverage of not less than $500,000 combined single limit per <br /> occurrence for bodily injury, personal injury, or property damage. Such policy shall contain a <br /> contractual liability endorsement to cover Bidder's indemnification obligations under this <br /> contract. Such policy shall also contain an endorsement naming the City as an additional <br /> insured, in a form satisfactory to the City, and expressly providing that the interest of the City <br /> shall not be affected by bidder's breach of policy provisions. <br /> B. Evaluation and Selection <br /> The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in the best interest of the City. In <br /> connection with the evaluation, the City may, at its option, invite one or more bidders to make an <br /> oral presentation to the City and may require the submission of supplemental material intended to <br /> substantiate or clarify information submitted in the original bid. <br /> 2 <br />
