TOTAL AREA REQUIRED: 1472 sf
To implement the long term solution the following will need to occur:
1. Set up of a temporary office facility (possible use of "Wistec" trailer).
2. Removal /relocation of plants.
3. Demolition of existing structure.
4. Site prep and construction of new facility.
In the new facility, it appears that the following potentially
hazardous materials may require specific storage. As I
understand it, some items could be stored off site, provided
they are not used on a routine basis. These need to be
identified. I have MSDS sheets for most products and will use
these for discussions with the Fire Marshal when appropriate.
Power Equipt.: 2 edgers
4, 21 inch mowers
1 Toro tri -plex mower
1 blower
1 vacuum
1 backpack blower
1 chainsaw
1 mantis tiller
1 pressure washer
1 Daihatsu
1 Tractor (6 months of the year)
All these pieces of equipment. have gas tanks and will require
separate storage from fertilizers and other flammable
products.
Current storage of gas is in the 20 gallon range. The storage
method will need to be examined.
Fertilizer currently stored on site (verify if off site
storage or delivery as needed is possible):
Turf Fert. 1 ton
Rose Fert. 1 ton
Supplemental rose fert. (typically organic) 1 .5 tons
Specialty fert. .5 ton
Epsom salts 1 ton
Agricultural lime .5 ton
Bone meal 200 lbs.
Dolomite lime 1 ton
Pesticides currently stored on site (verify storage
requirements and separations) Can some of this be stored
off -site or delivered on an as need basis:
Roundup 2.5 gals.
MCPA 2.5 gals.
Funginex 1 gal.
Polysul 15 gals.
Champ(copper) 2.5 gals.
Devrinol 150 lbs.
Casoron 50Ibs.
Snapshot 500Ibs.
Based upon the quantity of materials listed above and required
storage requirements, I have some concern that the space
allocation is not adequate. This will need to be verified.
I propose the following course of action at this point:
1. Review proposed space allocation and quantities of stored
items with appropriate staff.
Page 2
