The <br /> Whiteaker neighborhood is an interested party with respect to how the design, <br /> activities and management of the garden would impact the surrounding neighborhood. The <br /> citizens of Eugene are interested parties with respect to how the garden might be <br /> enhanced and maintained for their enjoyment. <br /> 3/95 Initial request from Rose Society to add pergola and new rose beds. <br /> 10/95 Present first design proposal to Rose Society and staff in response to design <br /> objectives. <br /> 11/95 Present design refinement to Rose Society and to Whiteaker Council in separate <br /> meetings. The Whiteaker Council would appoint a committee to work with the Rose <br /> Society in resolving any proposals that Whiteaker felt to be problematic. <br /> 12/96 (if needed) Present design refinement to Rose Society and Whiteaker in a joint <br /> meeting. <br /> 1/96 Post the plan at two or more locations, and announce a public hearing prior to a <br /> determination that the plan can be administratively adopted. <br /> 2/96 Conduct a public hearing on the proposed plan. Assuming no significant changes <br /> merit further study, prepare an Administrative Adoption Order for adoption <br /> pending the outcome of a Willametter Greenway Permit hearing. <br /> 3/96 Apply for a Willamette Greenway Permit that addressed intensification of <br /> use -- adding new maintenance building, expansion of rose display area and a new <br /> community building. <br /> 5/96 Willamette Greenway Permit hearing <br /> 6/96 Approval of Greenway Permit by hearings official. Administrative adoption <br /> process completed. <br />
