However, in this case I'm not sure we ever would have been able to catch up with the problems we inherited when we took over this old residence without making the kind of investment which would of caused us to look to demolish the building several years ago. The previous owners did several room additions in a manner which, while acceptable to them as home owners, left much to be desired from a long term structural stability and maintenance viewpoint. This is typical of the type of problem we get into when we try to use an old residence as a public building, however, I can't fault Parks staff much for trying to get the most use out of whatever asset they can get their hands onto. I'll keep you informed as we move through the process.
