• <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE ISSUES <br /> • Describe park history and its management <br /> • Identify where we have been, where we are now, and where we want <br /> to go. <br /> • Identify potential impediments to the plan and strategies to address <br /> them. <br /> • Make recommendations on monitoring procedures to ensure we are <br /> headed in the direction we want to go <br /> • Identify various management strategies we may want to take. <br /> • Identify opportunities for research/educational needs. <br /> • Prioritize recommendations within the plan. Work with staff on identifying <br /> cost efficiencies. <br /> • Identify potential additions and easements where it would be appropriate to <br /> improve and complete the trail system and provide biological connectivity. <br /> • Analyze the position of trails and their appropriateness. <br /> • Do a literature search for existing knowledge and refer to local and regional <br /> management plans as part of the plan development. <br /> PROJECT SCHEDULING <br /> Within 30 days of the award of the contract the project leader will be required to perform an oral <br /> presentation to the DAC of an action plan describing the process which will be used for the <br /> development of the management plan. The oral presentation will include written documentation <br /> of the material presented. <br /> A rough draft of the management plan is required within 120 days of the award of the contract. <br /> The project leader will be required to perform an oral presentation of the rough draft and respond <br /> to questions at a DAC meeting and a meeting for the general public, both to be scheduled within <br /> 30 days of formal submittal of the rough draft to the City. <br /> The final edition of the plan is required within 60 days of the consultant's receipt of comments <br /> regarding the rough draft from the DAC. <br /> The project leader will be required to perform a verbal presentation of the final draft and respond <br /> to questions at a DAC meeting and a meeting open to the public, both to be scheduled within 30 <br /> days of formal submittal of the final draft to the City. <br /> I Icndricks Park Forested Area Management flan -- Request for Proposals P 5 <br />
