SCOPE OF MANAGEMENT PLAN <br /> The consultant is being asked to develop a management plan for the natural area of Hendricks <br /> Park which will be in accord with the vision statement provided by the DAC. The plan is to be <br /> developed in the context of this natural area being a part of one of Eugene's premier city parks <br /> which is surrounded by urban development. <br /> The report of the consultant will be used by the City in its park management, maintenance, and <br /> design decisions. As the consultant develops management plan proposed actions or <br /> recommendations he /she should also develop accompanying strategies on how these could be <br /> implemented and measured over time. <br /> The DAC has developed a list of issues /instructions in three categories which they feel have a <br /> high priority in being addressed in the management plan. These categories are ecological issues, <br /> people issues and administrative issues. <br /> The consultant is asked to review the issues /instructions identified by the DAC and respond on <br /> how he or she proposes that these issues would be addressed in the management plan.
