BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE
Satre - wetland inventory, and riparian forests and large scale planning. Satre's
experience is related more to development, such as hydroelectric projects.
Beak's work is generally "mitigating" commercial timber harvest or hydroelectric
construction or otherwise "remedial" restoration projects.
Shippey's ecosystem work is principally in wetlands.
Bard's (sp ?) Experience is primarily construction.
Baber's experience is remedial work for timber harvesting or hydroelectric mitigation or
mitigation for mining or oil fields.
Swift's experience - managing "timber"
Latimer's experience - ecology for gravel mining and land filling.
Sperry's Hendricks Park work is questionable.
Satre's work at Willamalane's Day Island Park didn't define hazardous trees, although
that was an issue for the park. The plan was conceptual park design but didn't deal with
ecosystem issues.
Beak's work at Grand Ronde is a timber harvest plan and the Habitat Conservation Plan
for the Norther Spotted owl was also a conservation plan related to timber harvest. The principles
are great, such as seasonal use for area restrictions, but relate to a forest managed for timber, not
for a park use.
