Direct staff to prepare a request to the Board of Coun- <br /> ty Commissioners to waive the deed restriction for <br /> parks purposes only which now exists on the Golden <br /> Gardens parcel. <br /> BRIEFING STATEMENT: In order to facilitate the development of a public golf <br /> course the owners of adjacent property have proposed an <br /> exchange of land of equal value for the parks land bank <br /> property north of Golden Gardens Street. <br /> ITEMS UNDER SEPARATE COVER: <br /> 1. Memo from Lee Beyer to the County Commission dated 12/24/92 <br /> BACKGROUND: Responding to an unsolicited proposal, last June the Council di- <br /> rected staff to proceed to work with the two owners of property adjacent to <br /> the City's Golden Gardens Park land -bank site concerning a land trade that <br /> would allow development of a public golf course. A progress report submitted <br /> to Council at the end of the summer in a memo dated 9/14/92 is attached.
