Golden Gardens Park - We feel a public park at the end of Golden Gardens Street, north of Jessen Street, would be an ideal buffer between the residential area and our golf course. The City has promised area residents a public park for many years. This exchange provides the means to produce that much - needed facility. 4. We, the sellers, or our developers would be responsible for solving any environmental problems and for any appraisals that may be required to facilitate the exchange or obtain permits. We agree to the above items subject to our following concerns of the political consideration involved in our project. We certainly understand and respect budget constraints and the burden they place on local government today. However, we will need the City's political support and the support of the City's staff to help us through various governmental agencies from whom necessary approvals must be obtained. We and our developers are willing to pay for the necessary costs of the permit process, the development of the park as noted in our letter of May 14th, and the cost of developing the golf course, but we are going to need the City's endorsement of the project and staff assistance as noted above. We realize that some of the support we require may have some conditions attached. If the City has any other conditions, we IP request that they be established immediately so we may all be assured we are working to the same end: The development of a public golf course. It was our understanding on Friday, that, subject to the Counsel's approval, the golf course is our mutual objective. To that end, we trust the Council will consider the suggestions and terms herein offered and will assist us to accomplish this mutual goal. We hope to meet with the City Counsel on June 17, and we trust the following will be the result: • 1. That we receive the Counsel's preliminary support subject to the four conditions mentioned above. 2. That we be advised at the meeting on June 17 if there will be any additional conditions, other than those addressed herein, to gain Council support. If there are other conditions we would like to know what they are at the meeting.
