Provide needed recreation for the public at an affordable price. <br /> b. :Provide a public park what has been identified in the Depart- <br /> ment of Parks and Recreation plan. <br /> c. Provide economic benefits to the city and general area through <br /> construction permits, work for local contractors and workers, <br /> business for suppliers, golf equipment, food and housing for <br /> any workers fram outside the area as well as long -term em- <br /> ployment for grounds people and club house personnel, jobs <br /> for teens, revenue for service businesses. <br /> d. Provide a much needed_buffer between the residential areas <br /> and the planned expansion of commercial/light industrial <br /> development that will extend from the airport to Clear Lake <br /> Road over the next few years. <br /> Irrigation Water: <br /> We have consulted with groundskeepers of local golf courses, <br /> The State WaterMaster, Oregon Water Resources Department and <br /> Soil Conservation District and Junction City Water Control <br /> District (of which this area is a part) for rules, aquifer <br /> capacities; restrictions, effects of golf course development <br /> on the water table. <br /> We have collected water logs from all wells drilled within <br /> two miles of this site. We have consulted with local well <br /> *drillers on aquifer, soil composition, water contamination <br /> sources, etc. <br /> We have consulted with a Hydro - Geologist who will conduct any <br /> necessary testing to verify aquifer capacity and necessary <br /> tests for water sources for the A -2 channel and the ponds. <br /> We have consulted with an environmental biologist /wetlands <br /> specialist to conduct necessary wetlands studies and provide <br /> any additional data needed. <br />
