ACTION REQUESTED <br /> Approve four requests for use of General Fund Contingency. <br /> II. COUNCIL ACTION HISTORY <br /> On November 24, 1997 the City Council reviewed the Council Committee on Finance's <br /> recommendation that General Fund Contingency be a source for four funding proposals. On <br /> December 1, the Council asked to discuss these proposals at the December 8 Work Session. <br /> III. BRIEFING STATEMENT <br /> The purpose of this work session is to review four proposals for use of General Fund <br /> Contingency totaling $255,000. These proposals are for: Municipal Court judicial, prosecution, <br /> and defense contract costs -- $95,000; Hendricks Park Forest Management Plan-- $50,000; Library <br /> Committee materials and supplies /consultant services -- $75,000; Parks outreach activities- - <br /> $35,000. If some or all of the proposals are approved, Supplemental Budget #1, scheduled for <br /> consideration following the Work Session, can be amended to transfer appropriations from <br /> Contingency to the Operating Budget. After Supplemental Budget #1 the Contingency Balance <br /> would be $533,787 if all proposals are approved. <br /> IV. SUGGESTED MOTION <br /> Approve the following requests for use of General Fund Contingency: Municipal Court judicial, <br /> prosecution, and defense contract costs -- $95,000; Hendricks Park Forest Management Plan- - <br /> $50,000; Library Committee materials and supplies /consultant services -- $75,00; Parks outreach <br /> activities - -$3 5,000. <br /> V.
