Confirm the portion of the schedule reserved for Community use and School
use.
The Multi- Purpose Field use matrix was reviewed. The committee identified which
days /hours would be available for Community use and which hours would be
available for School use. Any time that was originally identified as "Open" was
changed to be considered as Community time. See attached Field Use Matrix for
specific dates and times by site.
The matrix dates (fall, winter, spring, summer) are set in conjunction with the OSAA
calendar. High Schools will occasionally have activities that occur during times set
aside for Community use (Le., playoffs, pre- season weekend games). All games
will be scheduled with as much advance notice as possible. Pre - season soccer
games are scheduled several months in advance and are usually played before
other community soccer /football programs have begun games. High School playoff
games occur during the first three Saturdays in November and will take precedence
over other activities. Community time will still be available on these game days.
It is the committees recommendation that any unscheduled School time be made
available for Community use and that any unscheduled Community time be made
available for School use. Emphasis to be placed on the efficient use of the facilities.
2. Identify the portion of Community time to be prioritized for approved youth
user groups and that to be prioritized for Adult City league activities and other
rental groups.
The committee recommends the following priorities for scheduling:
1. Approved youth user groups
2. City of Eugene Adult programs
3. Rentals
*Traditional turf sports (i.e., soccer) have priority over non -turf activities (i.e., baseball)
