Mr. Richardson did not think there was a simple solution and it would require some money and planning <br />to make anything happen. Mr. Biggs suggested the potential of fencing. Mr. Richardson said there were <br />no plans to do that. He did not think the area could be reestablished as a natural area and retained in that <br />state, but recommended the CPC talk to Ms. Mullin about the project. <br />Mr. Holloter encouraged members who saw dogs off leash in the park to contact the Eugene and <br />Springfield police departments. <br />10. New Business <br />Mr. Ernst solicited new business. Responding to a question from Ms. Brand, Mr. Ernst encouraged her to <br />contact subcommittee chairs to express her interest in serving on the subcommittee. Mr. Richardson <br />agreed to send out subcommittee chair contact information to members. <br />The CPC briefly discussed the bylaws and agreed to address potential changes at the next meeting. Mr. <br />Ernst indicated copies of the revised bylaws would be provided to all members by the new chair for their <br />review prior to that time. <br />11. Election of CPC Chair and Vice Chair <br />Mr. Ernst opened the floor for nominations. He noted the receipt of a nomination for Mr. Cooper to serve <br />as chair. Ms. Nunn seconded the nomination. <br />Ms. Jones nominated Ms. Behm. Mr. Sonnichsen seconded the nomination. <br />The committee elected Mr. Cooper chair of the CPC. <br />12. Set Next Meeting Date <br />The CPC established April 10, 2008, as its next meeting date, with the first choice of location being the <br />Willamalane Adult Activity Center and the second choice being the Royal Building in Springfield. <br />Mr. Biggs asked that the April agenda be expanded with a few key words to indicate the subject of <br />discussion. <br />13. Adjourn <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m. <br />Ms. Brand, seconded by Ms. Behm, moved to adjourn the meeting.
