MINUTES <br />Citizen Planning Committee for the Whilamut Natural Area of Alton Baker Park <br />Sloat Room - Atrium Building <br />99 W 10' Avenue, Eugene <br />July 17, 2008 <br />6:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Steve Cooper, Chair; Dennis Ernst, Vice - Chair; David Sonnichsen, Mary Morrison, Cora <br />Jones, Charlene Larison, Vicki Mello, Sally Nunn, Barbara May, Susan Reddoor, Theresa <br />Brand, members; Phillip Richardson, City of Eugene; Pat French, Willamalane Parks and <br />Recreation District; Mark Metzger, Gene Holliter, Ken Rivernider, guests. <br />ABSENT: Charlotte Behm, Charles Biggs, Jeff Ard, William Hughes, members. <br />1. Review and Adjust Agenda <br />Mr. Cooper called the meeting of the Citizen Planning Committee (CPC) for the Whilamut Natural Area <br />of Alton Baker Park to order. He asked if anyone had any comments or additions to the agenda. He <br />indicated that Mr. Metzger would give a brief overview of the Willamette River Bridge project under <br />public comment. Additionally, Mr. Sonnichsen intended to propose a motion during New Business. <br />2. Introductions <br />Those present introduced themselves. <br />3. Public Comment <br />Mr. Cooper called for public comment. <br />Mark Metzger, City of Springfield Planning Division, gave a brief report on the Willamette River <br />Bridge Project. He was recently assigned to the project to handle permitting associated with the new <br />bridge. He wanted to seek out this committee and introduce himself, as he would be working with some <br />CPC members during the bridge planning process. He noted that he would be working with the Oregon <br />Department of Transportation (ODOT), as well as other agencies involved in the project. <br />4.
