Roland divided the team into three sub groups. Each subgroup was instructed to draw
a pictorial representation of the functions that included the divisions.
Each subgroup interpreted their pictures to the group.
Facilitator note: Each group drew pictures that distinguished the magnitude and
importance of the communications to complete the functions that are described above.
They also designated a lead division when appropriate. Some functions such as
regulatory compliance did not have a lead or a clear process that they could identify.
Some of the planning functions were described as very effective examples of matrix
management.
The pictures are included as attachments.
Next Steps.
Roland instructed the individual members to think of positive interactions and
communication examples for our next meeting. We will use them in our prioritization
and problem solving process.
The team produced some helpful and good work. Thanks for participating in the
process. Thanks to Jim for transcribing the flip charts.
•
