HAMMITT Bob
From: MEDLIN Johnny R
To: HAMMITT Bob; BRETT Tom A
Cc: NORRIS Linda H; ETTER John F; MORGAN Dick A; WHITLOW Dave A; BREMER
Richard B; POST Doug A; ANDERSEN Chris F; JONES Eric R; LYLE Les A
Subject: Scobert Park - Citizen's Advisory Committee
Date: Friday, October 11, 1996 10:04AM
Yesterday's meeting of the Citizen Involvement Committee went very well with the proposal being adopted
without change.
Specific items which committee members flagged included:
The need for the meetings to be staffed by both Public Works and Public Safety. The committee was
assured that there would be multiple members from each department at each meeting as needed which
was the reason that both Public Works and Public Safety were listed as the requesting department.
That the Whiteaker School needed to be asked if they wanted to be notified of meetings and given the
opportunity to participate (but not as official committee members).
It was questioned if listing the role of renters separate from property owners was appropriate. However,
no change was proposed.
Asked what we would do if we did get a Spanish only speaking committee person. The committee was
assured that a translator would be provided if that proved to be the case.
Please let me know if you need additional information.
Thanks
Johnny
Page 1
