I would like to have that person attend our <br /> Wednesday, October 16 staff meeting. We have tentatively set <br /> the first meeting for the Scobert Park Advisory Committee for <br /> October 29 at 7:00 pm, at the Public Works Maintenance yard, <br /> 1820 Roosevelt Blvd. This means we need to rapidly get <br /> ourselves organized for facilitation of these meetings. <br /> As you are aware, I was aggressively negotiating a contract <br /> with Jim Molamed for facilitation of these meetings when Scott <br /> Meisner told us he did not think Jim would be the right person <br /> for this committee. He seemed entrenched in his position so I <br /> have notified Jim that we will not be contracting for his <br /> services. <br /> Scott Meisner promised to give me the names of a couple of <br /> facilitators that would work well with this group. To date I <br /> have not heard back from him despite my making several follow <br /> up contacts. <br /> At this point I am hesitant to contract with another outside <br /> facilitator given the negotiations I broke off with Jim. <br /> Internally three names have surface as potential facilitators. <br /> Lauren Chouinard was at the top of the list, but it is not <br /> feasible to use him given his other workload. The others that <br /> have been mentioned are John O'Conner and Marge Beck. Given <br /> that Marge Beck works in the Department of Public Safety and <br /> there are several Whiteaker issues involving Public Safety, it <br /> might be best that we got somebody outside of that department. <br /> Chris, did you ever get an opportunity to talk to Jim about <br /> the feasibility of getting John O'Conner assigned to this <br /> project?
