Com. Minutes 12/7 Meeting
Date: Thursday, January 09, 1997 4:40PM
I connected with Rich at the end of the meeting and he said he
would pass on the assignments to Tom. I know that Bob Hammitt
has talked to Dick Morgan about having Tim Rhay do a 3 minute
version of the park ranger concept (Tim was the person Bob
Emmons was referring to). I would prefer not sending them
anything in their packet about a process for dealing with the
Musslewhite issue. I will get them through it swiftly at the
beginning of the meeting and we will either be done with it or
we will have a vote that goes to the dept directors for their
final decision and we will move on. Sit back and be
comfy...you took the brunt of this issue in the last meeting
and it's mine turn to leap into the fire. Com. Minutes 12/7 Meeting
Date: Thursday, January 09, 1997 10:06AM
Priority: High
Here's all the things I can think of that we need to take care
of for next Tuesday's meeting:
Minutes: I've read & edited mine & sent on to Lauren for review.
Here are my responses to Dan's "Not Part of Minutes" notes:
1) Missed meetings: Susan Detroy has resigned, so we don't
need to worry about notifying her. We do need to notify Carol
and Jayme they can't miss next week's meeting. I suggest a
phone call (preferred) or a note in their agenda packet.
2) Replacements: With only three more scheduled meetings, I
wouldn't recommend bringing in a replacement now.
3) Committee's ability to remove members: DAN, WHY DO YOU
ALWAYS BRING UP THESE DIFFICULT QUESTIONS ? ?? Actually, the
same thing occurred to me. I suggest we just dodge it if it
comes up by saying the department directors expect their
committees to adopt groundrules governing attendance, to
ensure full committee participation, and if a member can't
meet an attendance groundrule the groundrule can be
automatically invoked without referring the decision to the
directors. I haven't actually checked this out with Dave, but
I'II bet he'd say yes. Think that'll fly?
Membership:
Page 1
