The committee will include a mix of the <br /> following representatives: <br /> - Homeless and/or people who frequent the area <br /> - West Blair neighborhood <br /> - Immediate neighbors of the park <br /> - Local businesses <br /> - Social service providers <br /> - People with a horticultural background <br /> - Voter pool <br /> A display ad was placed in the Saturday, September 28, 1996 Register Guard. Letters were sent <br /> to owners and tenants of properties within the service area of the park, and flyers will be posted <br /> in the vicinity of the park requesting interested parties to apply for positions on the advisory <br /> committee. Applications will be submitted to either Public Works Maintenance or the Whitaker <br /> Public Safety Station by Monday, October 7, 1996. <br /> Selections of committee members will be made by the Public Works department head. We plan <br /> to make a final decision on the membership selection of committee members within a two weeks <br /> after receiving the applications. <br /> V -6 <br />
