TABLE 40V
I think that moving the boundary will make more of the problems we already have and hate.
I just think we are getting into urban sprawl.
I've dealt with this before and you can bet the thing is not what they are making it out to be The boundaries need to be set
and the developer needs to just do without.
This all revolves around moving the boundaries and that is not ok.
The land boundary needs to be left. It's there for a reason.
People do not have a say and never have They need to leave the boundary right where it is and develop where they may
1 think both pieces of land need to be left the way they are
I just think the land is far more valuable for agriculture. Urban sprawl is not what we want.
Once the boundary is moved it's not going to stop for this developer. The city has lied about the proposal and I won't approve
any of this proposal.
They just want to add to urban sprawl.
It will primarily benefit the developer more than anyone else. There has been rampant growth in this area We need open
space and yet we need to increase density within the urban growth boundary.
Eugene needs to stop growing out and start growing in If we maintain the urban growth boundary people will start to take
down old houses downtown which are no longer habitable and build there.
I don't support moving the urban growth boundary in the south but I do support the building in Santa Clara.
I don't want to
pay for this with higher taxes. I'm all for a park but I don't want the city to sprawl haphazardly. I want the urban
growth boundary to stand.
There is still a lot of undeveloped land within the growth boundary and property value is the bottom line; the value of my house
is higher if there aren't so many built.
Moving the boundary.... once you start messing with it, it doesn't stop.
We shouldn't be playing around with the urban growth boundary. I've been on citizen committees about growth issues before,
and it's all lip service.
1 don't approve of the city changing the boundaries, and that's probably what will happen, plus traffic congestion problems.
We need to spend the money somewhere else. I don't think we should be messing up the laws of urban growth boundary.
I do not want the housing development. I do not want the Urban Growth Boundary expanded. I do not trust the McDougal
Family.
I don't want the 2 projects to be connected in any way. One should not affect the other. Preserve agricultural land. Utilize
available land within the existing boundary, developing small neighborhoods.
Moving the boundary would increase taxes for minimal services.
don't like the idea of Eugene expanding to create urban sprawl.
I don't like moving the boundary line, pressure on infrastructure and schools. The need to upgrade Emerald Park. We would
be served adequately with that.
