TABLE 40V
I am for some sort of park but not the garbage around it. I don't want a development. They are trying to appease the people
around the development by offering a park.
They are trying to snow us with a park and shove a development down our throat. The traffic can't handle it. No one out here
Ines the idea, and we are opposed to it Its not worth it.
There are enough houses and traffic out in Santa Clara now. I'll bet that before long something will come up and then the city
will find a way to raise more taxes. I can see it coming with this.
I would go along with the park but not the house and commercial development.
I want the park but we don't need all the housing and developments.
I don't trust the city of Eugene. From what I've read the deal isn't as good as it's presented. Just a park would be great. But not
with the development.
I don't want anything like the development that is that large. I don't like the idea of low income housing. We don't want a big
park, just small neighborhood parks work great. Tax increases are next.
It smells like a developer's scheme to me. Sounds like a wheeler dealer deal to me. To me it's a ruse so the developers can
make a buck. We're not idiots. We'd be stupid not to realize the increase in traffic.
1 am uncomfortable with the developer's attitude. He the same as said he doesn't care what we think, we don't matter. I don't
think they thought out about how the traffic would be affected. Love farms.
I think the whole proposal is asinine. All the McDougals want to do is line their pockets. The proposal isn't any good for
anyone but them. The traffic would be ridiculous. City plan is dangerously crowded.
The deal itself stinks. The streets cannot support that traffic. They waited to buy the property for more money. Residents
COULD but wouldn't have input. If they get the land, they can't take care of it.
1 am not opposed to a park but I don't want all the houses. We don't need a big park. Property taxes would be raised. We
have a nice park. The citizens came up with a proposal that makes sense.
1 believe we have school yards where kids can play. It's not for Santa Clara; it's Bethel. The project is more for the developer
than the people. Don't want the development and not worried about park.
Would like the park but not the development.
1 am opposed to the land swap but I am not opposed to having parks and having them maintained. I am opposed to this
because I live right here, because of the traffic and the development would come first and the park later.
1 want a park but no development. We have enough problems with the traffic and it would be overwhelming. We don't need to
increase it.
I would support a park but not sure about the housing development part of it.
We don't need more houses and more congestion and more traffic here.
The traffic is already horrendous. We're not ready for a whole new development. And 900 houses would just be a start - what
else are they waiting to build that they're not telling us about?
I don't trust the developers - they're land grabbing. Won't support it if the city has to pay any money to the developer.
Don't like the annexation part. We don't need such a dense housing project - traffic is already terrible. They should do
something about the traffic problem we have now.
We don't need that big a park. Those developer brothers are getting more handed to them than they should. They should build
the park out of their own deep pockets.
