TABLE 40V
The housing development is not necessary. There are enough houses in the area. If they keep going the next step will be
getting rid of Lone Pine Farm and then Thistledown. The whole thing is a bad idea.
Some way will be found to increase taxes. There is enough traffic in this area as it is. There are plenty of houses all over the
area for sale without building more.
There are enough houses without adding more. This town can't get it
9 n9 ' g together to manage the traffic. They shouldn't add more
developments until they get the traffic control right.
Don't like the idea of all the houses.
The traffic and the houses in that area. They are just building tract homes all over and the prices are outrageous. I don't know
what to say about all this.
97403
It's really the developer trying to develop the land, and making the deal with the city is only a means to his end.
It is disingenuous of the developer to give a gift...to dress it up by offering the ridgeline park, but still getting the huge
development. They should remain separate issues.
Never deal with a developer, there is no free lunch. There is more suitable land west of the city. The ridgeline area is more
appropriate for recreation and easily accessed by all.
97404
The parks are just fine. They don't need to build any more houses.
The number of houses is too high. And we have plenty of parks in Eugene and Springfield.
The park is fine. The housing is not.
There are already so many houses going up in the River Road area, it's just ridiculous.
I don't think we need any more houses out in Santa Clara.
It will primarily benefit the developer more than anyone else. There has been rampant growth in this area. We need open
space and yet we need to increase density within the urban growth boundary.
There are two other directions that the city could develop for housing - east and west- Glenwood and west 11th and 18th. The
farmland is very important and the park would be nice.
No houses. I am for the Lone Pine farms and I don't want thereto be houses encroaching on the agricultural land.
I'm not opposed to more parks but I am very bothered by such a large development. It does sound like something that will
strongly benefit a small handful of people.
We need the farm land. I hate to see so many houses being built.
I would support it if I know we would get a park and not just some open space and nothing there. I would also disapprove of
developing the south hills and nothing on this end.
It sounds like they will be increasing an area that can't handle that.
I like the idea of a park. It's ok. But they don't need to build more houses. The traffic is truly the pits. We just can't handle any
more traffic.
This area can't afford the traffic. 1000 apartments are too much for this area. The roads are too narrow and not enough room
for all the traffic.
