Facility: Residence and Converted Garage, 32275 Fox Hollow Road <br /> ADA Evaluation <br /> 1. ACCESSIBLE ROUTE <br /> (At least one accessible route shall connect parts of the facility) <br /> Number: Potential for one route exists - parking area is asphalt paved and connects <br /> both buildings. Main entrance to residence is approximately 3' - 6" above the grade of <br /> the front sidewalk; Rear (Utility) entrance is approximately 12' above grade. Entrance <br /> to the converted garage is within 1/2" of the paved area. <br /> Width: Minimum width of the accessible route shall be 36 ". Existing paved area is of <br /> adequate width if a ramp is constructed to connect it to the Utility Entrance to the <br /> residence. Walkway from city street does not exist; the site is too steep for the <br /> development of an accessible route from the street. <br /> Passing Space: 60' minimum passing space shall be provided on the route and spaced <br /> not farther than 200' apart. Adequate passing space is provided. <br /> Head room: Meets minimum 80 ". <br /> Surface texture: Existing texture is non -slip type, firm, stable. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> Priority 1: <br /> Install new 3' wide (minimum) concrete ramp connecting the Utility Entry <br /> at the residence to the Common Accessway (paved area). <br /> Cost Estimate: Included under RAMPS <br /> 2. OUTSIDE PATHS AND WALKS <br /> (Individuals with handicaps need an accessible path or walk to the entrance of the <br /> facility. Accessible paths and walks have the same essential features as accessible <br /> routes. <br /> Number: Existing path from parking to building is not defined. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> Priority 1: <br /> Define accessible path between two buildings and from buildings to <br /> accessible parking stall with diagonal painted stripes. <br /> Cost Estimate: Included under PARKING <br />
