D AcoF:c
ARCHITECTURAL PROFESSIONAL CORPORATION
ARCHITECTURE AND PLANNING
1680 PEARL STREET
EUGENE, OREGON 97401 503/687 -9600
FACILITY EVALUATION
FOR CONFORMANCE WITH ADA
FACILITY: Residence and Converted Garage
32275 Fox Hollow Road
Eugene, Oregon
DATE: March 15, 1993
INTENT: Review Existing Buildings for Conformance with ADA
The author toured the facility on March 11, 1993 with Mr. Walt Haniuk of the City of Eugene to
inspect the residence and converted garage to determine whether or not the structures
conformed to the intent of ADA and to recommend modifications to bring the structures into
conformance. The intent of the inspection was also to determine the condition of the building
systems and to rank the condition of each system and to identify systems which require
immediate repair.
This report will first address the following building elements which may be common use
elements:
1) Accessible route; 2) Outside paths and walks; 3) Parking; 4) Curb ramps; 5) Ramps;
6) Entrances and other doors; 7) Elevators; 8) Liffs; 9) Toilet rooms; 10) Drinking fountains;
11) Warning signals; 12) Assembly areas; 13) Public telephones; 14) Other building
elements and specialized features.
Throughout the report necessary corrective procedures will be prioritized to show the
importance of timeliness for correction of each discrepancy noted. Priority "1" will indicate
that correction must be performed as soon as possible. Priority "2" will indicate that correction
of the discrepancy should be done because of inconveniences suffered; however, other
accessible similar building elements are available. Priority "3" will indicate that the building
element does not conform to strict enforcement of the law; however, it would be much more
important to perform other listed items before correction of the listed item is performed.
