kkgRALD VALLEY BMX <br /> BY -LAWS <br /> ARTICLE I. NAME AND OFFICE <br /> SEC ZION A: Name. The name of this organization shall be "Emerald Valley BMX ". <br /> SECTION B: Office. The location of the principal office of the corporation shall be at <br /> Emerald Valley BMX, 2700 Leo Harris Drive, Eugene, OR 97401. The board shall secure <br /> adequate insurance coverage for equipment and materials within headquarters. Legal <br /> papers such as by -laws, current year tax return, lease, and non -profit status certificate shall <br /> be kept in a fire proof safe deposit box located at the track. A copy of such papers shall <br /> also be maintained by the Secretary and kept in a location away from the track and <br /> corporate office. The keys for the safe deposit box shall be maintained by the Track <br /> Operator and the Secretary. <br /> ARTICLE II. PURPOSE <br /> The purpose or purposes for which this corporation is formed are: <br /> SECTION A: To form a non - profit corporation for the purpose of providing a suitable <br /> environment for bicycle motocross. <br /> SEC:I'ION B: To conduct bicycle motocross competition. <br /> SECTION C: To promote the sport of bicycle motocross in the community. <br /> SECTION D: To implant in youth the ideals of the sportsmanship code which are: <br /> Develop a strong, clean mind and soul and body. <br /> Develop an understanding of and respect for sportsmanlike conduct. <br /> Develop an understanding of and respect for the rules. <br /> Develop courage in defeat; tolerance and modesty in victory. <br /> Develop control over emotions and speech. <br /> Develop into real, true citizens. <br /> ARTICLE III. MEMBERSHIP <br /> The membership of Emerald Valley BMX shall consist of every qualified rider and parent <br /> and /or legal guardian of such rider. Qualification requires current membership or associate <br /> membership with the sanctioning body and credited towards Emerald Valley BMX. <br /> 1 <br />
