During that time, the City has been generous in Debra Delegato
its support of our nonprofit child care center, which provides full -time quality Vice President
child care on a sliding scale, serving primarily low- income families.
Karen Madeira
Secretary
We have long known that our tenancy on the current site was "temporary", given
the long -term park - related plans for our location. Rather than wait any longer Maida Belove
for notice to vacate by the city, we have decided to begin making definite plans Treasurer
fi
to move our operations to another location. Furthermore, an evaluation by Mr. Chris
Shoap (NEDCO'S house mover) on whether and how it could be moved to a
new site revealed that
• it would have to be moved in at least three pieces
• it would take from 60-90 days to get "hooked up" and reconstructed at the
new site, therefore we would have to disrupt the child care of more than 30
families during that time. This was not an option that we could seriously
consider.
Therefore, we have decided to build a new facility which would allow us to add
an infant/toddler program and to expand our quality preschool program. We are
