vacation. You may not remove City equipment from your work place to use for personal reasons,
such as holding a vacation slide show event at your home or at a restaurant.
21. Will I get in a lot of trouble if I don't follow these rules?
You should take the equipment use policy, as well as all other City policies, very seriously.
Violation of the City's equipment use policy can result in disciplinary action up to and including
termination. Remember, too, that all City employees are subject to the Oregon Government
Standards and Practices Laws. The City's policy has been developed to meet the state ethics laws
with regard to use of office equipment and if you don't follow the policy, you may also be in
violation of state ethics laws.
Human Resources Revised: 07/26/07
