r
Equipment Policy Roll Out Sessions
Pre session Information Sheet
Included is a disk that contains:
• Pre - session info sheet
• Facilitator Talking points
• Participant booklet master for making copies for each participant. Print settings should
be "two sided to two sided ".
• Scenario template for creating discussion scenarios
Setup recommendations:
Have the space setup so that the group can have a conversation and also break down into small
groups for scenario discussions.
Materials:
• Facilitator notes
• Sign in sheet and pen
• Handouts for employees
• Copies of scenarios
Session recommendations
• It is key that employees hear this information from their department leadership groups.
That can be as simple as a manager being a co- presenter, introducing the session and
then helping in the discussion facilitation.
• Teaming for facilitating can work very well.
• We have found that for the scenario reviews, small groups of 2 -3 makes for better and
faster discussions to keep the pace of the work shop going.
• You can decide if you want to review the Frequently Asked Questions document before
the scenarios or after. It just depends on what you want the scenario conversation to
focus on.
Training records
• There is a training code in PeopleSoft already for this course. It is HR 0262
• You can have your training contact setup your sessions in the system. If they need help
with this they can contact Patence Winningham at X7185.
• Your training contact can then put the names in from the sign up sheets and close the
sessions, putting this record in the system.
• Please keep the sign in sheets in your department
Tips for Creating Scenarios:
• There will likely only be time for one or two scenarios
• Be sure that whatever you use has relevance to the employees, ties in with issues that
they might encounter.
• Try to come up with a scenario that isn't black and white in it's answer, one that could be
a right vs. right, creates a conflict for the answer.
• Be sure to have an answer prepared that will be consistent with the policy.
• It is ok for a scenario to create more questions than clear answers, but be sure to point
out how to get the answers to come to a final conclusion.
• Remember to factor in the concept of "public perception" when talking about the issues.
