APPENDIX B <br /> MAINTENANCE STANDARDS <br /> WILLAMETTE HIGH SCHOOL AND MEADOW VIEW SCHOOL <br /> ARTIFICIAL TURF ATHLETIC FIELDS <br /> The District and City agree to the standards of maintenance for the Fields at Willamette High <br /> School and Meadow View School, as set forth in this Appendix B. These maintenance <br /> standards are attached to and incorporated within the Intergovernmental Agreement for the <br /> Joint Use and Development of Artificial Turf Athletic Fields (the "Agreement "). Pursuant to <br /> Section 2.2 of the Agreement, these standards shall remain in effect for a period of one (1) year <br /> from the effective date of the Agreement, unless modified or updated by mutual consent prior <br /> to expiration of the one (1) year period. <br /> 1. Litter Control and Trash Removal. Litter shall be collected from the sites a <br /> minimum of once per day, five (5) days per week. Trash containers for the Willamette High <br /> School site will be provided by the District and trash containers for the Meadow View School <br /> site shall be provided by the City. All trash containers shall be serviced regularly. Trash shall <br /> be removed from the sites as often as is required to prevent overflow of cans and other trash <br /> containers. When use patterns require more frequent litter collection and/or trash removal, the <br /> service may be provided by, or at the expense of, user groups. The City will be responsible <br /> for litter pickup and trash removal at the Meadow View School Field. The District will be <br /> responsible for litter pickup and trash removal on Willamette High School grounds, except on <br /> the tennis courts which shall be the responsibility of the City. The District will be responsible <br /> for litter clean-up at the stadium and the Field immediately following Willamette High School <br /> home athletic games. <br /> 2. Artificial Turf Surfaces. The artificial turf surfacing at the Fields shall be maintained <br /> in a manner compatible with safe and enjoyable play, according to the sport, use level, and the <br /> manufacturer's maintenance guidelines. The City and the District shall coordinate the <br /> grooming, leveling, and fill replacement on the Fields. Repairs to the artificial turf surfacing <br /> shall be carried out when the safety or function of the turf has been compromised. All repairs <br /> shall be conducted by a qualified contractor, or by District or City staff, and shall be performed <br /> in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines, and the warranty agreement. <br /> 3. Other Surfaces. Other surfaces hall be cleaned regularly and repaired, repainted, or <br /> replaced when safety or functionality are compromised or when the appearance has noticeably <br /> deteriorated. Pornographic, racist, or other hate speech graffiti shall be removed or painted <br /> over within twenty -four (24) hours. Other graffiti shall be removed or painted over within <br /> seventy -two (72) hours. The City shall be responsible for graffiti removal at the Fields at <br /> Meadow View School, and at the tennis courts at Willamette High School.
