On <br /> January 18 and 19, 1994, there will be a workshop for Planning <br /> Aid Team (PAT) members and representatives of any other agencies <br /> and organizations interested in the project. <br /> Wednesday, January 18, 1994 <br /> Field visit to familiarize participants with the proposed <br /> project site. Meet at 1:00 PM at the Bureau of Land Management <br /> West Eugene Wetlands Project Office at 751 South Danebo Road in <br /> West Eugene. Telephone (503) 683 -6993. Field clothes and <br /> waterproof boots are recommended. Participation in this field <br /> session is not necessary for participation in Thursday's design <br /> charette. <br /> Thursday, January 19, 1994 <br /> Design charette. 9:00 to 4:00, Willamette Conference Room, <br /> Bureau of Land Management Eugene District Office, 2890 Chad <br /> Drive, Eugene (map, enclosure 1). Telephone (503) 683 -6600. <br /> The primary purpose for the charette is to provide an <br /> opportunity for PAT members and other interested parties to <br /> assist the Corps and our local sponsor, the city of Eugene, in <br /> determining: <br /> (1) Project objectives for environmental restoration and <br /> other related purposes. Enclosure 2 is a listing of preliminary <br /> draft objectives established by the Corps study team. <br /> (2) Detailed design criteria for modification of the <br /> existing Amazon Creek flood control channel. Enclosure 3 is a <br /> brief description of "Plan 11 ", the preferred alternative <br /> identified in the reconnaissance phase report. This alternative <br /> is the starting point for more detailed planning in the <br /> feasibility phase. <br />
