PUBLIC WORKS - MAINTENANCE DIVISION
DATE: Aug. 2, 1995
TO: Bob Hammitt, Gene Shutt, Johnny Medlin, Fred McVey, Dave Ritter
FROM: ati Elliott .
RE: Waterway right -of -way and easement acquisition
This is the upshot of the meeting I attended with the Water Resource Team at Engineering on
July 27.
We met to discuss, among other things, the BMP - CAP1: Waterway Right -of -Way and
Easement Acquisition List I sent to Pam Pulliam, which I had compiled based on "hiformation
supplied by all of you.
At the meeting, Deborah Evans informed me that there were presently enough CAP1
resources to probably acquire easements for five of the twenty one (I listed eighteen, the
W.R. Team added three more) areas. As a result, we decided the best means to select five
areas for Russ Royer to look into acquiring would be for Maintenance to come up with a
"Top Ten" list of areas of most immediate need, taken from the previously submitted list.
From these ten, an effort would be made to acquire an easement or right -of -way for five
areas.
Attached is the list of the twenty one areas. You can circle your ten choices and return them
to me via the Maintenance Planning mailbox.
If, on the other hand, you feel the need for further discussion for the selection process, let
me know and I'll make the necessary arrangements.
•
•
acquisit.mem 5/95 bne
