There is some money I can't move until after December and thats why you don't see it on the
General Ledger yet. The total amount will be $78,000 for the playground counting last years money.
There will be $58,000 for Alton Baker bike path counting last year's money. Carolyn
From: ETTER John F
To: KROECK Louis G
Cc: WEBER John J; MEDLIN Johnny R; KOFFORD Carolyn
Subject: RE: Alton Baker Park Playground
Date: Monday, September 18, 1995 11:58AM
After we raided the UT funded projects for the latest bridge,
there was an appropriation of $38,000 left for the playground.
According to a 5/4/95 spread sheet that Johnny prepared, the
next round of UT funding should have been split between the
playground ($40,000) which would restore the original funding
level, and bikepath work ($38,000). The July expenditure
report shows the later amount, but not the new playground
portion. Since I don't se any other UT type project(s) listed
in the amount of $40,000, I am assuming that it got lumped
into the General Site and Facilities Improvements ($260,000),
from which I believe Carolyn takes to set up particular
projects when they are ready to go forward. I will copy this
to her, and if it turns out that something is different that
the plans were last May, the timing of the construction would
have to be modified. In any case, the $38,000 from last year
is there to which you can charge the design work.
As to timing of work, I would place it on your work program
for next spring, based on our winter effort to update the West
Alton Baker Plan. As close as we are to this planning
process, it doesn't make sense to presume we replace it at the
original location. - -John
From: KROECK Louis G
To: ETTER John F
Subject: Alton Baker Park Playground
Date: Monday, September 18, 1995 11:21 AM
John, do you know if there is a budget for this project.
I've had no formal request for the project and I am wondering
if I should be planning it in my schedule.
